Al Quds Newspaper, January 5th: 70% of Palestinians support a peace agreement with Israel

The poll was conducted by the Near East Consulting Research Institute between January 2-4, 2010 among a representative sample of 900 Palestinians in the WB, Gaza and E. Jerusalem. Margin of Error= +/-4%.

Findings:

70% of Palestinians support reaching a peace agreement with Israel. 30% oppose.
In the West Bank 76% of Palestinians support reaching a peace agreement with Israel.
In Gaza 60% of Palestinians support reaching a peace agreement with Israel.
67% of Palestinians call on Hamas to change its position supporting the annihilation of Israel, as opposed to 33% who prefer that Hamas stick to this position
