Arab Influencers in Israel: Workshop in Ramallah

On January 9th, Arab citizens of Israeli participating in our conflict education and leadership program, visited Ramallah for a series of in-depth lectures and discussions on their important role in promoting peace and the two-state solution. They heard from Fatina Hodali, an adviser at the Palestinian Negotiations Unit and Dima Arqan, an advisor at the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as from Palestinian journalists. They spoke about the viability of the two-state solution in light of current developments, public opinion on both sides and the role of women in negotiations. Our Palestinian partners at the Palestinian Peace Coalition encouraged the participants to continue with their active participation in Israeli society, which can help bridge gaps between both peoples, create more understanding, promote reconciliation and reinforce efforts to resume a political process.
The participants in the group are all leaders and opinion-shapers in the fields of media, politics, local government, civil society and education with wide influence and access to broad audience.
