Boaz Karni is treasurer and co-founder of the Economic Cooperation Foundation, a non-governmental organization dedicated to supporting the peace process and promoting Israeli-Palestinian cooperation and reconciliation. In 1992-1993 the ECF staff was instrumental in initiating the Oslo talks that led to the signing of the DOP in September 1993, and later the Oslo II agreement and the economic agreement known as the Paris Protocol. The ECF was also involved in initiating and preparing the Israeli-Palestinian “non-paper” known as the Beilin-Abu Mazen Agreement. Karni also serves as Chairman of the Board for H.L. Education for Peace (The Geneva Initiative) and acts as the non-active chairman of Tzora Active Systems (a company specializing mobility systems for senior citizens).
