GI Seminar for Deputy Mayors of various cities

On June 10-11, the Geneva Initiative hosted a two-day seminar for 32 Deputy Mayors of Israeli cities at Kfar Hamacabiah in Ramat Gan

The seminar was attended by Deputy Mayors from cities and regional councils across Israel and representing parties such as Likud, Shas, Mafdal, Kadima and Labor. Speakers included MK Shaul Mofaz (Kadima) who warned about the implications of strained raletions with Turkey and MK Daniel Ben Simon (Labor) who spoke about the alternatives facing Israel at this stage and about his policy recommendations to the Head of the Labor Party, Defense Minister Barak.

The seminar continued for two-days and included a tour illustrating the Geneva Initiative's border solution in the West Bank area. So too did the seminar participants attend a conference that the Geneva Initiative held on Thursday evening (June 10th) on the implications of Israel's policy on her international standing.
