On May 13, the GI held a discussion at the organization's Tel Aviv office for leaders from the Russian speaking community regarding Russian public opinion and alternatives for Israel's future.

An online Russian speaking news site reported that there was a 3 hour conversation between leaders of the GI and experts on the public opinion of the Israeli Russian speaking community.
The discussion was attended by, amongst others, MK Orit Zuaretz (Kadima), former Labor representative Ophir Pines-Paz, former Labor MK and head of the Absorbtion and Immigration Committee Colette Avital, a represetntative from the Zionist Federation, and leading Russian speaking journalists
