On May 5th-8th, GI Israel Director General Gadi Baltiansky participated in the Common Bond Institute's 15th Annual International Conference on Conflict Resolution in St. Petersburg, Russia.

The conference brought together hundreds of presenters and participants from around the world for critical dialogues, sharing programs and perspectives, and practical training in conflict resolution. Each year, the conference promotes cooperation and collaborations between participants and organizations represented.

Among the topics addressed this year were the Dynamics of Terrorism throughout the world, Trauma, Forgiveness and Reconciliation, as well as issues in regions of conflict, including the Middle East.

Mr. Baltiansky spoke at the conference about the Geneva Initiative in a lecture examining the feasibility of joint civil society solution for the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Based on his extensive experience in the field, he briefed the conference on past mistakes on the public aspect of the Israeli-Palestinian peace process.
