On February 1^st GI held a joint convention with the Russian Speaking Journalists and Academics Congress. The title of the convention was: "The effect of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict on the Israeli society".

The speakers of the conference included MK Dr. Yossi Beilin, Alla Shainskaya, Bruno Landsberg and GM of the congress Aharon Monblit.
