Geneva Initiative at the J Street Conference

From February 26 to March 1, the Geneva Initiative was at the J Street Conference in Washington, DC.

Geneva Initaitive's USA Director Yuval Benziman addressed a packed audience on the subject, "Do Israelis care about peace?" To access video of the conversation, one of a select few live-streamed via the web, please click here. During the discussion, which focused on Israeli public opinion, Benziman quoted statistics from a December 2010 poll comissioned by the Geneva Initiative. Full results of that poll are available here.

Geneva Initiative was much the focus of discussion at the several day event.  MKs Orit Zuaretz, discussed GI's outreach to the Russian-speaking community in Israel.  Ron Pundak, head of the Peres Center for Peace, speaking in a plenary session, noted that the solution to the conflict is well-known--it is the Geneva model.  MK Shlomo Molla echoed that sentiment.
