GI Demonstrates for Democracy

	On January 15, Geneva Initiative proudly demonstrated in Tel Aviv for democracy alongside a broad coalition of organizations.

In his remarks concerning the proposed parliamentary inquiry committee to investigate left-wing organizations in Israel, Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman noted that the probe would not apply to the Geneva Initiative, which "[has] a political opinion that is entirely legitimate even if I don't accept it.”

Though FM Lieberman exempted us from his list, we view ourselves as firmly in the democratic camp, and therefore proudly demonstrated for democracy alongside a broad coalition of organizations. Though there are sometimes big differences between our groups, we share common ground in our belief in the right to express different opinions freely.
