On Sunday, June 24th, GI hosted a meeting addressing the local leadership of the Bnei Shimon Regional Council. The meeting was held at Kibbutz Lahav, and included a lecture by GI Signatory Col. (Res.) Shaul Arieli and a discussion with Former PA minister Kadoura Fares and MK Haim Oron.

Mr. Fares said the current PA emergency government was one Israel could work with comfortably, and added that unilateral Israeli actions only hurt the Palestinian peace camp.

MK Oron spoke of the pressing need for Israel to release frozen Palestinian tax funds, release Palestinian prisoners, and remove roadblocks.
