GI Director-Generals in Sweden

On October 13-14, GI Director-Generals Gadi Baltiansky and Nidal Foqaha met with Sweden's Foreign Minister, Carl Bildt and participated in the Palestine International Business Forum (PIBF) event in Stockholm.

On Tuesday, October 13, 2009, a joint delegation of Geneva Initiative’s Israeli and Palestinian Director-Generals met with the Swedish Minister of Foreign Affairs, Carl Bildt, in Stockholm.
In the meeting, Gadi Baltiansky and Nidal Foqaha outlined the GI proposal for an Israeli-Palestinian endgame agreement and presented the recently published Geneva Initiative Annexes. Mr. Bildt, who was familiar with the Geneva Initiative and its activities, responded positively to the detailed blueprint for peace and congratulated the Geneva Initiative representatives for this important achievement. He also expressed his hope that the Geneva Accord and the Annexes will serve as a basis for a future peace agreement between Israelis and Palestinians.
After the meeting with Minister Bildt, Baltiansky and Foqaha also briefed the Middle East section of the Foreign Ministry about the Geneva Initiative's activities and taking on recent political developments.

In addition, Baltiansky and Foqaha took part in the PIBF where they presented the Geneva Initiative and annexes to larger circles of international decision-makers and position-holders from various fields.
