Date: 10.11.07

On Saturday, November 10th, Geneva Initiative hosted a conference for immigrants from the former Soviet Union in a hotel in Kibbutz Shefaim, and the subject: "Options and Opportunities for an Israeli-Palestinian Final Status Agreement."

Some 170 members of the Russian-speaking community participated in the conference, at which Col. (Res.) Shaul Arieli lectured on issues in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Participants also met with GI Co-Architect MK Yossi Beilin (Meretz) for a discussion and heard about the Geneva Initiative from Public Relations Executive Dror Sternschuss.

Participants arrived from seven different cities around Israel, and included prominent members of various organizations in the Russian-speaking community, as well as Russian speaking Labor Party members.

Russian-language newspaper Vesti subsequently published an article entitled "Not Just War" covering the event.
