GI holds conference for immigrants from the former Soviet Union in Kibbutz Shefaim |
On Saturday, November 10th, Geneva Initiative hosted a conference for immigrants from the former Soviet Union in a hotel in Kibbutz Shefaim, and the subject: "Options and Opportunities for an Israeli-Palestinian Final Status Agreement."
Some 170 members of the Russian-speaking community participated in the conference, at which Col. (Res.) Shaul Arieli lectured on issues in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Participants arrived from seven different cities around Israel, and included prominent members of various organizations in the Russian-speaking community, as well as Russian speaking Labor Party members. Russian-language newspaper Vesti subsequently published an article entitled "Not Just War" covering the event.
