On Thursday-Friday, August 7th-8th, Geneva Initiative held a seminar at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Jerusalem for leading members of the Ultra-Orthodox Shas coalition party.

46 prominent figures from the Shas party, among them deputy mayors and central activists, attended the two-day seminar and showed an active interest in the lectures and panels that were part of the program.

Speaking at the seminar were Labor MK Collette Avital, Shas MK Yakov Margi, Palestinian Minister of Prisoner Affairs Ashraf al-Ajrami, Col. (ret.) Shaul Arieli, and Geneva Initiative Director General Gadi Baltiansky. Shas representatives David Glass and Alon Nuriel acted as moderators.

Additionally, seminar participants went a tour to the separation barrier in the Jerusalem envelope, guided by Arieli.
