On May 22, the Geneva Initiative held a gathering for members of the Russian speaking Israeli community in Israel's Negev.

The conference was attended by 120 members of the Russian-speaking leadership of Israel's southern cities and was held in Be'er Sheva. Speakers included Kadima MK Robert Tiviaev, Chairman of the GI steering commitee Dr. Yossi Beilin, former PA Minister Sufiyan Abu Zaida and GI representative Dr. Yuval Benziman.

The speakers presented the participants with the Geneva-Accord as a solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. They all stressed the importance of a two-state solution to the future existence of Israel as a Jewish Democratic state.
