Israeli and Palestinian political activists meet in Jordan

On July 30 - August 1, the Geneva Initiative in cooperation with the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung held a joint Israeli and Palestinian seminar in Jordan.

30.07-01.08.2010

Twenty Israeli and Palestinian parliamentary assistants and political activists participated in the three-day seminar. On the Israeli side participants represented a range of political parties from the entire political spectrum including Likud, Ichud Leumi (National Union), Meretz, Kadima, and Labor. Palestinian participants were representatives of Fatah, NGOs, and other political party activists.

The seminar was facilitated by a professional moderator from Systematic Inventive Thinking (SIT) and included group activities and forum discussions utilizing an innovative and creative approach to Israeli-Palestinian issues. Interacting through these exercises enabled participants to better understand different perspectives and opened channels for dialogue and mutual understanding.
