GI Shas Seminar covered in orthodox Jewish news

"Even though Shas is identified with the right, it's okay for us to think differently from the right" - MK David Azoulay during the Shas seminar with the Geneva Initiative.
 
During the two-day seminar, Shas activists went on a tour on the seam line in the northern West Bank boundary to study the proposed solution by the Geneva Initiative. They met with leaders of the initiative and security experts. The event was held as part of an ongoing cooperation between the Geneva Initiative and the Shas party, included dozens of activists from the movement alongside ministers, Knesset members and mayors. After the meeting, it was agreed to continue cooperation and to hold other events with Shas activists.
 
Among the participants in the seminar was the Mayor of Petah Tikva, Deputy Mayor of Rehovot, Chairman of Beitar Illit Local Council, Chairman of the Religious Council, Chairman of the Bat Yam Religious Council, and also members of the munipalities of Jerusalem, Beit Shemesh, Rehovot, Beer Sheva, and more.
 
MK David Azoulay said "The peace treaty with Egypt proves the power of a peace agreement. Although today times are a little rocky, for years the [Egyptian peace] agreement was stable and gave us quiet in the Southern region, and it happened because a peace agreement. While Shas is identified with the right, it's okay for us to think differently from the right"
