On May 8, the Geneva Initiative held a tour to the security barrier for over 50 members of the Russian speaking leadership of Haifa; Carmiel and Netanya.

The tour was followed by a luncheon and a briefing by Col. (Ret.) Lev Niv about the Geneva Initiative. The day was held in cooperation with Shatil. In the feedback forms, that were distributed at the end of the day, 20 of the participants expressed support for the Geneva Initiative once they learned more about it, 14 participants said that the tour made them review their positions but that they were still undecided and 18 remained opposed to the GI solution for the conflict.
