Israel Military Radio broadcasts discussion on GI message "Netanyahu say yes to peace"

The following is an excerpt from Israel’s leading talk-show on Israel Military Radio, April 26, 2010:

“On Thursday we broadcast a discussion on the advert Geneva Initiative sponsored with a message signed by 10 central activists calling Netanyahu to say yes to Obama. We nicknamed it ‘Beilin in Netanyahu’s service’, because Netanyahu does actually hope for an act from the left. This morning we also hear about activists from Shas, even significant members of the movement, that asked to join this petition and sign on to the Geneva Initiative message, but Eli Yishai (Head of the Shas Party) vetoed the request. Shas response to this is as follows: ‘Eli Yishai does not reject an academic debate regarding the Geneva Initiative, but ultimately the deciding factor is the opinion of the Rabbi and the Council of the Torah Scholars’.”
