Israeli & Palestinian news editors meet in GI seminar in Jordan |

Date: 23-26.04.2009 Between April 23rd and April 26th, the Geneva Initiative held a joint Israeli-Palestinian seminar for 12 of the leading editors of the central media channels of both sides. Participants comprised of editors of news and op-ed columns.
The seminar was jointly organized by the Israeli and Palestinian Geneva Initiative offices and was held in Jordan in order to enable the sides to meet.
During the three days the sides discussed the role of the press in the Israeli-Palestinian peace process. Each of the sides presented views regarding the media's influence on conflict-related issues and brainstormed ideas for future cooperation between Israeli and Palestinian media figures.
