Israeli-Palestinian Seminar: Between Geneva and Nicosia

In late October, the Geneva Initiative brought together 20 young leaders from Israel and Palestine for two days of lectures, discussions and joint work in the city of Nazareth.

Together they learned about the core issues of the conflict and proposed solutions, as well as about each other’s history, society and politics. They also learned about the conflict in Cyprus, and talked about what Israelis and Palestinians can learn from it.

These young leaders leave the seminar not as individuals but as a group, determined to work together to promote peace. “we are being told that there is no partner for peace on the other side”, said one of them on the way back. “I just met several”.
