Israeli-Palestinian Seminar for Young Entrepreneurs

On November 24 to 27, the Geneva Initiative hosted a seminar for young Israeli and Palestinian entrepreneurs in Turino, Italy.

Recognizing the influence of the business community on decision-makers in the region, the GI gathered 10 young Israeli and Palestinan entrepreneurs between the ages of 35 and 45 who are working in the business sphere to learn about the conflict, to explore linkages between the conflict and the economy, and to facilitate communication.

Israeli and Palestinian representatives of the Geneva Initiative Hadas Grinvald and Fatina Abbud discussed the GI's history, goals, and activities. Brigadier General (Ret.) Ilan Paz briefed the group on current events and the core issues of the conflict, including security, refugees, borders, and Jerusalem. In addition, the group met with Italian officials from the Ministry of Trade and Commerce and with other local leaders of the business community.

The event was organized with the cooperation of the Centro Italiano per la Pace in Medio Oriente (CIPMO) and the support of the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID).
