Labor Officials Agree to Work toward Withdrawal to Pre-67 Border

Arutz Sheva, 12.12.06

Members of the Labor party, which is part of Israel’s government coalition, together with the head of the far-left Meretz Party, met with Fatah officials on Friday and agreed to both work toward an Israeli withdrawal to the pre-1967 borders.

Deputy Defense Minister Ephraim Sneh of Labor, as well as presidential candidate Colette Avital attended the Jerusalem meeting, along with Meretz leader Yossi Beilin.

The Fatah officials in attendance included Yasser Abed-Rabbo and Fares Kadoura, who were involved in Beilin’s Geneva Initiative, which Ariel Sharon cited as a factor which forced him to carry out the Gaza Disengagement.
