Meeting with Likud Central Committee Members

To prepare for the day after elections, on February 17th we met with key members of the Likud Central Committee to discuss potential actions after the March 17th elections for the two-state solution. The participants, who included deputy mayors, branch heads, and members of local councils, also discussed ways to introduce the Geneva Initiative to newly elected Likud Members of Knesset.

PPC-GI Director General visits Gaza

The Palestinian Peace Coalition – Geneva Initiative (PPC-GI) Director General, Nidal Foqaha, visited the Gaza Strip early this week. Gaza is suffering from a critical humanitarian crisis, with many homes only receiving several hours of electricity a day, fresh water in short supply, buildings still damaged from the recent fighting and as many as 10,000 residents still residing in United Nations-run schools. The visit was aimed at supporting and empowering PPC-GI activities in the Gaza Strip.

Likud MK Candidate agrees: We have a lot more work to do.

"The dialogue is important, the gaps are real, and the Geneva Initiative has a lot more work to do" summed up Likud Knesset candidate Nava Boker (no. 25) who took part in a Geneva Initiative seminar hosted in Ramat Gan from January 30th-31st. The seminar included 45 active party members from across the political spectrum including two other candidates on the Likud list, Oren Hazan and Ayala Stgman, and former Palestinian minister Hisham Abdel Razek.
