Geneva Initiative Seminar for Youth in Ramallah

In November, the Palestinian Peace Coalition-Geneva Initiative held a two-day seminar in Ramallah, focusing on the role of youth in bringing a positive change to their society and politics.

Seminar for Senior Likud Activists

In November,  the Geneva Initiative held a seminar for a group of senior activitsts from the Right-wing party Likud. They met with Palestinians, heard from experts, and left with plenty of food for thought.

Meeting with the Chinese Special Envoy on the Middle East Issue

On October 29th, the Geneva Initiative’s Israeli director Gadi Baltiansky met with the Chinese Special Envoy on the Middle East Issue Gong Xiaosheng. The two discussed China’s potential role in the Middle East Peace Process and the peace education activities carryied out by the Geneva Initiative in Israel and Palestine.

Working with Israeli Youth

On March 28th, the Geneva Initiative's Director of Public Relations, Gilly Harpaz, spoke to a group of 18 year-olds at the Amichai preparatory program ("Mechina"), which prepares Israeli high school graduates for serving in the IDF.

Working with youth in Gaza

In February, the Geneva Initiative held a capacity building seminar for over 40 young leaders from Gaza. Over the course of two days, the participants met with a series of experts and lectures, and learned about issues such as the interlinks between internal Palestinian politics and the ongoing conflict with Israel, the impact of settlements activity on the geo-political reality in the West Bank and the prospects for reaching a negotiated two state-solution.

GI Israeli Director at a conference for diplomats: the two-state solution is the only solution to the conflict acceptable by both sides

The Geneva Initiative's Israeli Director Gadi Baltiansky spoke to a group of over 70 foreign diplomats and reporters as part of The Israel Project conference on alternative solutions to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Baltiansky told them about the Geneva Initiative model peace agreement, as well as about new and innovative ideas within the framework of the two-state solution.

Geneva Initiative seminar for Parliamentary Advisors

Lectures by prominent experts, a tour of the Palestinian city of Rawabi and a conversation with a young Palestinian peace activist – this is how we ensure that Knesset staffers are informed about the conflict and motivated to solve it. On February 16-17, the Geneva Initiative held a two-day seminar for Israeli parliamentary advisors, which provided them with an understanding of the history and core issues of the conflict, proposed solutions and the narrative of the other side.
