Meeting with German Parliamentarians

On February 6th, the Geneva Initiative's Israeli Director of Foreign Relations, Daphna Perry, participated in a roundtable discussion with the Parliamentarian Friendship Group for Israel from the German Bundestag.
The delegation included Representatives Volker Beck (Buendnis 90/Die Gruenen), Kerstin Griese (SPD), Sven Volmering (CDU/CSU) and Matthias Bartke (SPD).
The discussion focused on the role of Israeli civil society in peace promotion and human rights advocacy. Perry told the delegation about the work done by the Geneva Initiative in Israel and Palestine and stressed the need for supportive and constructive international engagement, especially on the part of international players such as Germany and the European Union, on the issue of promoting the two-state solution.
