Meretz MK Yossi Beilin and Likud MK Yuli Edelstein held a debate at Geneva Initiative's offices in Tel Aviv on July 19th, 2007.
The evening was a closed event for journalists and leading public figures from the Russian Israeli community during which each of the speakers presented his viewpoints and commented on the other's. After presentations by each of the speakers the floor was opened to Q&A and a lively discussion was held.
Among the participant in the debate were journalists from the newspapers Ha'aretz, Vesti and Novosti Nedeli, as well as from Channel 9, Radio REKA and Sputnik.
