The poll shows an overwhelming support for the PLO as the sole and legitimate representative of the Palestinians. Fayyad‘s Government approval increases. The evaluation of the role of the security agency of the PNA and its government in the West Bank is much higher than that of security agencies of the government in Gaza. The findings also show a widespread support for the elections in 2010.

According to the findings, 81% believe that the PLO is the sole and legitimate representative of the Palestinians. In contrast, 17% disagree with that statement.
 
64 % of respondents evaluate the performance of the Fayyad's government as good or medium, increasing by 10 points from August 2008. At the same time, 46% positively evaluated the Haniyeh’s government, same as in August 2008.
 
With regard to bringing about security, rule of law and personal safety, 74% of Palestinians believe that the security agencies of the PNA and its government in the West Bank are playing a positive role, while only 49% recognizes a positive role of security agencies of the government in Gaza in fulfilling these tasks.
 
 
89% of the population supports the conduct of presidential and legislative elections in January 2010. Fateh‘s popularity is at 45% while Hamas‘s at 17%. As many as 38% remain undecided.
The poll was carried out between September 31 and October 3 using a sample of 1200 Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza. The margin of error is+/-3 %.
