The Geneva Initiative held a meeting for 10 representatives from the Israeli Russian-speaking media. The group included journalists from Novesty, a crew from Channel 9, and Radio REKA. Director General of the Geneva Initiative Palestine, Nidal Foqaha, addressed the Russian media and, additionally, representatives of the GI Israel. He spoke about the Palestinian position on the peace process and the status of the reconciliation process between Fatah and Hamas. He stressed the need for Israel to remove the Gaza blockade. He discussed the principles of the Geneva Initiative and the support it holds amongst senior Palestinian Liberation Organization members and between 65-70% of the Palestinian public. The event received press coverage from the Israeli Russian-speaking TV channel, in addition to online, print, and radio outlets.
