Seminar for Immigrant Associations in Israel

Seminar for Immigrant Associations in Israel

On March 30 and 31, Geneva Initiative hosted a seminar for the leadership of the Association of Immigrants from Ukraine in Israel.
Fifty heads of immigrant associations and party activists took part in a two-day seminar on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and solutions offered by the Geneva Initiative model. Participants, active in a range of political parties in Israel including Israel Beitenu, Likud, Kadima, and Labor, took part in tour along the separation barrier and heard lectures by senior security experts, including Brig. Gen. (Res.) Israela Oron and former PA minister Ashraf Al Ajrami.

Gandey Nadulko, the Ukranian Ambassador to Israel, honored us with his presence during the seminar.  Other speakers included MK Nino Absedse (Kadima); Maj. General (Ret.) Nati Sharoni, member of the Council for Peace and Security Management; and Prof. Zvi Kesse.

Feedback after the seminar indicated that participants learned a great deal about the challenges facing negotiation teams and the solutions that Geneva Initiative offers to the various issues. They noted that the tour helped them to understand the situation and that the lectures where very informative, particularly regarding the content of Geneva Accord, which they where not familiar with prior to the seminar.  Participants generated a wealth of follow up ideas.
