Seminar for Municipal and Community Leaders

On September 22-23, we held a seminar for municipal leaders – namely senior local politicians, local council members and members of local religious committees from across the country. The group was extremely diverse, with participants representing Ultra-Orthodox communities, Bedouin and Israelis of Ethiopian origin among others.

The seminar included several lectures and experts panels, a very intensive and lively discussion with a Palestinian guest (Former Palestinian Minister and current resident of Gaza, Hisham Abdel Razek), and a tour of East Jerusalem, which illustrated some of the issues that were discussed throughout the seminar.

A Facebook post written by one of the seminar participants, a local council member from the city of Kfar Saba, says: "there is a lack of trust between the sides, and many mistakes have been made in the past, but there is a partner for peace on the other side. Actually, there are lots of partners"
