Seminar for Senior Likud Activists

In November,  the Geneva Initiative held a seminar for a group of senior activitsts from the Right-wing party Likud. They met with Palestinians, heard from experts, and left with plenty of food for thought.

As part of the seminar, the participants met with Ziad Darwish, Palestinian journalist and member of the Palestinian Committee for Interaction with the Israeli Society. It’s not every day that senior members of Likud sit down for a talk with a Palestinian journalist. But as one Likud activist told us after the seminar: “not meeting the other side means being trapped by your own misconceptions about them. Today, for the first time, I got to ask a Palestinian expert about the conflict and the Two-State Solution, and the truth is that I was deeply surprised by his answer”.
This seminar was made possible through the generous support of the American people through the United States Agency for International Development.
