Seminar for young Political activists in Ramallah

On August 11-12, the Palestinian Peace Coalition-Geneva Initiative organized a 2-day seminar for young Palestinian political activists and leaders in Ramallah.

The seminar brought together 29 activists from across the political spectrum, and focused on three main issues: the role of media in educating the public on issues related to peace process and political non-violent participationף the democratic process in Palestine (particularly in light of the upcoming municipal elections); and women's rights in Palestine and their participation in Palestinian society and politics.
The participants heard from a series of excellent speakers, including Mohamad Hawash, a journalist and a political analyst; Katiusha Hiwari, a Women's Rights Activist; and Dr. Reyad Shrim, Head of the Training Unit at Alistiklal University.
